Mike Gottfried said he is remaining at the University of Pittsburgh, squelching rumors he would be become the new coach of the Green Bay Packers.

“I have informed the Green Bay Packers that I’m definitely not interested in their head coaching position,” Gottfried said. “I appreciate their interest in me. And I’m very flattered. But my goal is to remain at Pitt.”
