A pickup truck rammed a school bus making a turn in Lancaster Thursday morning, injuring three elementary school students and the driver of the truck, the California Highway Patrol said.
Twenty-five students from Joshua Elementary School were on the bus, Sgt. Stephen Ballard said, and the three who complained of various pains and bruises were treated at Antelope Valley Hospital Medical Center and released. The pickup driver was treated for cuts and bruises.
The bus driver was making a left turn in front of the pickup about 7:30 a.m. when the truck, unable to stop in time, struck the bus, Ballard said.
