Goodyear Tire & Rubber said it will realign its businesses into two divisions, tires and general products. Chairman Robert E. Mercer said the reorganization will streamline the Akron, Ohio-based company to be more flexible and responsive to the changing marketplace. “These two divisions will operate with a high degree of autonomy and have their own manufacturing, development, financial staff, materials management and other support functions,” Mercer said.
