The high school where Gene Hackman drilled his basketball players in the basketball film “Hoosiers” may be torn down if a buyer isn’t found soon. Parts of the school, in Knightstown, Ind., are 112 years old. The Knightstown school board recently gave the Knightstown Historic Landmarks Foundation a four-month extension to find a buyer for the structure. A deal with a Florida couple fell through. “We’re getting kind of desperate,” said Bernice Tweedy of the foundation. “Time’s running out. We’re trying to think of something we may have missed before. There are so many people who don’t want it destroyed.”
