Burbank 34, Glendale 2--Tarin Cardenaz rushed for 179 yards and a touchdown in 11 carries and quarterback Anthony Valento completed 11 of 19 passes for 171 yards and 2 touchdowns to lead the Bulldogs at Burroughs High.
Valento gave Burbank an 8-0 lead with a 43-yard touchdown pass to Dan Shaw on the team’s third play from scrimmage.
Shaw had 5 catches for 108 yards and also intercepted a pass.
Glendale quarterback Richard Callister completed only 4 of 20 passes for 34 yards threw 4 interceptions 3 of which led to Burbank scores.
The Dynamiters were limited to 112 yards, including 40 yards rushing in 10 carries by Corey White.
Glendale’s only points came when Valento was tackled in the end zone by linebacker Tom Machado with 6:06 to play.
