West German Firm to Join Arco’s Solar Panel Venture

Arco Solar and Siemens Solar GmbH said they are building a plant in West Germany to make solar-electric panels for cars.
Arco Solar is a Camarillo subsidiary of Arco, the giant Los Angeles energy company. Siemens Solar is a subsidiary of Siemens AG, a West German industrial conglomerate.
Among the uses for the panels will be to power ventilation systems to blow hot air out of the cars.
