Canyon 58, Burroughs (R) 6--Canyon amassed 500 yards and scored on 9 of its 12 possessions at Burroughs. Quarterback Rod Baltau completed 11 of 19 for 219 yards and 3 touchdowns, 2 to wide receiver Brian Schroeder and 1 to tight end Rod Markovich. Baltau also ran for a 14-yard touchdown.
Running back Chris Peery, who ran for 139 yards and 3 touchdowns in 21 carries, scored on a 1-yard run in the second quarter as Canyon jumped to a 26-0 lead.
Burroughs was limited to 183 yards and the Canyon defense had 8 quarterback sacks for minus-33 yards.
