A $5,000 scholarship awarded by Playboy magazine in the name of a Dartmouth football player for his academic and athletic achievements has been returned by the Ivy League school. Senior Paul Sorenson of Cupertino, Calif., appeared in Playboy’s 32nd preseason All-American football team.
Playboy sports editor Gary Cole said that based on a letter he received from a school official, he believes the “women’s movement on campus” influenced the move.
