We read Howard Rosenberg’s review of “Roseanne” after tuning in to watch it. We could not believe what he wrote! We had to turn this ugly program off midway. Ugh. Please tell us what is funny, humorous and comical about a woman wisecracking with banal, predictable lines in the midst of ill-mannered children fighting and slinging food in a slophouse of a kitchen.
Please tell this woman to forget comedy. What is comical about “ain’t” and “he don’t”? Rosenberg’s words such as “endearing,” “warmth” and “affection” were so depressing. Is this what will be praised as original and appealing?
