Cal Lutheran Races to District 3 Crown

The Cal Lutheran men’s cross-country team placed 4 runners in the top 10 to win the NAIA District 3 championships Saturday at Woodward Park in Fresno.
Patrick Byrne finished fifth in a time of 26 minutes, 24 seconds over 8,000 meters (approximately 5 miles) to lead the Kingsmen, who finished a point ahead of second-place Westmont. The win qualifies Cal Lutheran for the NAIA nationals in Kenosha, Wis., Nov. 19.
