Oak Park 34, Moorpark 6--Jason Stein showed no effects of a knee injury that sidelined him for 2 weeks as he rushed for 118 yards in 12 carries and scored 3 touchdowns as at Oak Park.
Stein was on the receiving end of a 9-yard Gary Silverman pass that gave the Eagles their first score and the lead following Jess Garner’s conversion kick.
Moorpark’s Chuck Silverest had taken a reverse and sprinted 91 yards down the right sideline on the opening kickoff for the Musketeers’ only score.
Garner scored 16 points on 2 touchdown runs and 4 conversion kicks. The senior fullback also rushed for 51 yards in 9 carries.
Brian Kane added 59 yards in 7 carries for Oak Park (9-1, 4-1), which finished second in the league.
Moorpark (1-9, 0-5) was limited to 7 yards in the first half and 33 for the game.
