Times Mirror Co. said it has entered into an agreement to buy Zenger-Miller Inc., a Cupertino, Calif.-based management training and consulting company, for an undisclosed price. “The acquisition is part of our long-term strategy to develop Times Mirror’s position in the training industry, which we believe offers substantial growth,” said Robert F. Erburu, Times Mirror chairman and chief executive. Times Mirror, which publishes the Los Angeles Times, also owns Learning International, a Stamford, Conn.-based training company. Separately, Times Mirror Magazines acquired Salt Water Sportsman, the largest marine sport fishing magazine, for an undisclosed price.
