Late-season Tropical Storm Keith aimed its 50-m.p.h. winds at Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, pelting the northwestern Caribbean with gale-force winds and heavy rains. Forecasters at the National Hurricane Center in Miami upgraded the tropical depression to a tropical storm after its sustained winds jumped from 35 m.p.h. to 50 m.p.h.
