Yields Up on Treasury Notes: Yields on 10-year Treasury notes rose in auction to the highest level since November as the government’s biggest-ever $37-billion quarterly refunding continued. The average yield was 8.07%, up from 7.85% at the last auction Feb. 6. It was the highest rate since 10-year notes averaged 8.52% on Nov. 7. The notes will carry a coupon rate of 8.5%, with each $10,000 in face value selling for $9,952.60. A total of $11.96 billion in notes were sold. The coupon rate for the three-year notes sold Tuesday was 7%. In Wednesday’s edition’s of The Times the coupon rate was incorrect.
