Child-Care Center: Brea Place, a mixed-use business park, announced Friday that it will open a child-care center for the 55-acre park, which includes offices, retail stores and a 230-room hotel. The owner of Brea Place, Lowe Development Corp. of Brea, paid $2 million to build the child-care center, which will accommodate 152 children. The company said it plans to discount the lease by $50,000 a year to subsidize the center. Employees of the park businesses can use the center on a first come, first served basis.
