CYPRESS : $10,000 Grant to Aid Disabled Students
- Share via
Cypress College has received a $10,000 grant to help provide job opportunities for disabled students.
The grant from Mitsubishi Electronics will allow students with disabilities to accompany Mitsubishi employees on the job. Disabled students are sometimes excluded from such experiences because of their physical limitations.
Although offers of employment are not the purpose of the program, attendance may result in increased job opportunities for disabled students, said Robert Nadell, director of the college’s Disabled Students Program.
Nadell expects the program to begin during the spring semester. He has not yet determined how many students will be participating.
For more information about the program, call (714) 826-2220, Ext.104.
