Benitez Cancels: Tonight’s performance by American-born flamenco dancer Maria Benitez at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre has been canceled due to poor ticket sales. Monday’s program was also canceled. Her manager Harry Rubenstein cited inadequate local promotion. Benitez previously danced in Riverside, Claremont and Palos Verdes on this tour and will leave California after a performance Friday at UC Santa Barbara.
