Trio-Tech International in San Fernando reported a fiscal fourth-quarter profit of $11,000, compared with a year-earlier loss of $558,000.
The company, a maker of semiconductor-testing machines, said the improved results came on an 18% increase in sales, to $3.32 million in the quarter ended June 28 from $2.81 million a year earlier.
For its full fiscal year, however, Trio-Tech lost $871,000 on sales of $14.3 million as the economic recession continued to depress its performance. In fiscal 1990, the company lost $2.43 million on sales of $14.9 million.
