Ex-Rolling Hills Mayor Will Be Arraigned

Former Rolling Hills Mayor Mason Harry Rose, 54, is scheduled to be arraigned in South Bay Municipal Court on Tuesday on misdemeanor charges of carrying a concealed weapon and driving an unregistered car, law enforcement officials said.
In October, sheriff’s deputies stopped Rose in Rancho Palos Verdes for driving a 1990 Cadillac without license plates. At the time, they reported, he was carrying a loaded pistol and his permit to carry the weapon had expired.
Rose served two terms as mayor while on the City Council from 1974 to 1982.
