It’s easy to tell how long it has been since Cal has had a respectable football team by the way the Golden Bears acted in victory over USC.

I suppose it’s the difference between a football tradition of national rivalries, national championships, Heisman Trophy winners and Rose Bowl appearances (contrasted with) one where the highlight of every season is usually “the Big Game” with Stanford, traditionally more of a battle between the school bands instead of the football teams.
