FACE TO FACE: The local Lincoln Club will host the first debate of the 1992 GOP campaign for U.S. Sen. Alan Cranston’s seat. It’s a private event at Irvine’s Hyatt Regency at noon Monday. Appearing will be Rep. Tom Campbell of San Jose, commentator Bruce Herschensohn, and dark horse Bill Franklin of the Corona City Council. . . . Club members then will vote on an endorsement.
