State transportation officials are holding a public workshop today on plans for 12- to 16-foot-high sound walls along the Pomona Freeway in Diamond Bar and the City of Industry.
The Caltrans meeting will be from 4 to 8 p.m. at Walnut Elementary School, 841 S. Glenwick Ave., Walnut.
Under the proposal, walls would be built to muffle traffic sounds on the westbound Pomona Freeway between Grand Avenue and Prospectors Road in Diamond Bar and on the eastbound side between Nogales Street and Fairway Drive in the City of Industry.
