SUPREME HELP: The state Supreme Court on Monday upheld a portion of Proposition 15, to the delight of folks in the Orange County district attorney’s office--where the 1990 ballot measure was written. Upheld was the provision that police officers may present hearsay testimony at preliminary hearings (A33) . . . “If you have a case with 10 burglary victims, and one police officer can testify about all the evidence, you’ve saved a lot of . . . court time,” says Deputy Dist. Atty. Richard M. King.
