Tougher Gun Laws

I agree that there should be tough gun-control laws; I do not agree that guns should be banned, categorically, for sale, purchase, transfer or possession by civilians any where in the United States. Once we start plinking away at people’s rights, the tradition becomes difficult to stop.
I don’t own any guns, but I feel I have the right to own one. If this right is denied, what will be next; the banning of free speech or eventually the right to vote?
