Class-Action Suit Allowed in Bias Dispute: A federal judge has permitted a group of women to file a class-action lawsuit alleging sexual harassment in the workplace. U.S. District Judge James Rosenbaum’s ruling came in a legal dispute between nearly 100 women iron miners and their employer, Eveleth Mines, which operates low-grade iron ore mines on Minnesota’s Iron Range. Class-action status means that any woman employed at the Duluth mining company since December, 1983, is eligible to be included in the lawsuit if she meets the criteria for the class.
