Chris Kontos scored two goals as Canada continued its dominance of the U.S. Olympic hockey team, winning, 4-1, in the opening round of the USA Cup at Albany, N.Y.
Canada (30-8-6) plays the Soviet Selects tonight, and Team USA (14-24-6) plays the Soviets on Saturday. Canada is 7-2-2 against Team USA.
