Syncor Reports Profit Rose 47% for Quarter

Syncor International Corp. in Chatsworth reported its profit jumped 47% in the fiscal second quarter ended Nov. 30, while revenues rose 36%.
The operator of specialty pharmaceutical services for doctors and hospitals said its profit in the latest quarter was $1.52 million, contrasted with $1.03 million a year earlier.
Revenue totaled $50.6 million, up from $37.3 million in the second quarter of fiscal 1991.
In the six months ended Nov. 30, Syncor’s profit surged 49% to $3.13 million from $2.1 million a year before. Revenues increased 33% to $97.9 million from $73.3 million.
The company attributed its improved results to continued growth in the cardiac imaging equipment market.
