Disney Expansion

Now that Disney has ruled out Long Beach as the site of its new theme resort the word “loser” seems affixed to the city. It should be pointed out that Disney did not also select San Francisco, London, Paris, Rome, Tokyo and Singapore and those cities are not considered “losers.”
On the other hand, Anaheim has had Disneyland for over 35 years and that has not exactly transformed it into a world-class city (most people do not know which city it is in). This project will do little more than transform a suburban town with a major theme park into a suburban town with a major theme resort. There is obviously more to a city than the Matterhorn bobsled ride.
