Penn State running back Blair Thomas, who rushed for 1,414 yards, the school’s third-best single-season total, had arthroscopic surgery to repair a ligament in his right knee. The junior was injured in a Dec. 9 workout and was unavailable when Penn State lost to Clemson in the Citrus Bowl.
