The death of an elderly opera buff who plunged 80 feet from the upper balcony of the Metropolitan Opera House was ruled as a suicide, authorities in New York said. The 82-year-old man, who fell to his death Saturday, was identified by police as Bantcho Bantchevsky, a native of Bulgaria and a voice coach who lived a block from the opera house.
