For and Against Dornan’s Record
I was disappointed to read the Times’ Oct. 27 editorial critical of Congressman Bob Dornan. As the Washington lobbyist for Orange County, I have worked closely with Congressman Dornan.
On issues important to the people of Orange County--such as transportation, housing and the Santa Ana River flood control project--Congressman Dornan has been a leader working in a bipartisan fashion to get things done.
Contrary to The Times’ editorial, Congressman Dornan has repeatedly demonstrated his ability to forge a consensus with his Democratic colleagues in order to advance the needs of his constituents.
For his work on local issues, Congressman Dornan has won the support of the vast majority of elected officials in the 38th Congressional District he represents.
Congressman Dornan has not ignored local issues. He has been an advocate working to improve the quality of life for the people of his district.
