Montand Memorial: Scores of celebrities including Alain Delon, Catherine Deneuve and Gerard Depardieu paid final respects Wednesday to entertainer Yves Montand, who was buried in Paris next to his wife of 34 years, actress Simone Signoret, who died in 1986. At the performer’s request, there was no religious service or eulogy. About 5,000 fans were kept outside the cemetery gates. Shortly after the service, police in the Normandy town of Evreux confirmed that Montand’s country house there had been robbed during the night. No details were released about what was taken. Montand died of a heart attack Saturday at age 70.
