Aerospatiale Drops Bid for De Havilland: French aerospace concern Ste Nationale Industrielle Aerospatiale has pulled out of the bidding for Boeing Co.’s De Havilland commuter aircraft division, ending 16 months of arduous negotiations. Aerospatiale could not be reached for comment. The withdrawal ends weeks of speculation that Aerospatiale was on the verge of pulling out and leaves only Montreal-based Bombardier Inc. in the running.
